First day of German language intensive was rough...people from 27 countries trying to be taught Deutsch. We had horribly difficult placement tests and then interviews in German! Needless to say, I got put in the most basic class! I'm glad that I won't be overwhelmed and I'm with Morgan and 2 other Americans.

We had a very successful day. Class started at 9:00 and we walked in deep snow 35 minutes to the University (I had walked there once before with someone who knew where we were going, so we just looked it up on google maps and used our independence!).

Our reward for such a successful day! The gelato workers are the only strangers who have been nice to us so far and it completely made our day!

We took the bus (the right bus, paid correctly, and everything) to the main shopping center. We ordered at a restaurant, did a lot of shopping (school supplies, groceries, room stuff), and lived to tell about it. We even took the right bus home!! It may sound easy, but there are about 30 different buses with different stops and routes.
